Mendaera

Mendaera is building handheld robotics for the needle procedures that sit underneath most of medicine. Biopsies, vascular access, organ access, drug delivery. Hundreds of millions a year, and the outcome still depends on whether the person holding the needle has done it a thousand times.

The Focalist system clips onto an ultrasound probe and combines real-time imaging, robotic needle positioning, and depth tracking to guide placement. It weighs about as much as a phone. FDA cleared in 2025, now moving into broad commercial launch starting in urology.

The company is turning procedural expertise into something that ships.
