Dr. David Shulkin is a physician and healthcare executive with more than three decades of leadership across academic medicine, hospital systems, and federal government. He served as the ninth U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs and Undersecretary for Veterans Affairs for Health under President Obama, where he expanded access to care and championed telehealth across the VA system. Earlier in his career he served as Chief Medical Officer at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and held senior leadership roles at Temple University Hospital, Beth Israel Medical Center, and Morristown Medical Center. He has been named one of the 50 Most Influential Physician Executives in the Country by Modern Healthcare.
